In a decorative illustrated binding, a story of poverty, the father making the wrong choices in life and ending up with the gypsies, and the effect on his little daughter Kitty.On Sale is a circa 1920 s edition of * KITTY *, by Adela Frances Mount (Mrs T. M. Bricknell Perry), with a frontispiece illustration by Mabel R. Peacock, published by the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge (S.P.C.K.), undated and no other editions or impressions mentioned, with an Award plate to the ffe dated April 3rd 1926. Size approx 7-3/4 inches x 5 inches, with 224 pages.The decorative cloth covered hardcover is rubbed and bumped on the edges, with dappled colour loss, and tiny splits on the spine-end corners, but sound and reasonably clean and tidy (see photo). Inside is complete, hinges sound and endpapers not split, a bird transfer on a couple of the blank prelims, binding slightly stretched but all pages attached, no other writing or graffiti, partial tanning just to the endpapers else not tanned, a small amount of foxing mainly to the outer couple of pages, minimal pale usage soiling, mostly very clean and tidy.Please view my for sale, as I am listing lots more early 1900 s books, etc, and will always try and combine deliveries to save you money.
